You can find the Hogwarts Express Here.As soon as the Train had pulled out of the station, and I could no longer see my parents, I sat down and started "Quidditch through the ages" and "Flying with the cannons" which were some extra books I had picked up at Flourish and Blotts. I had already changed into my Hogwarts uniform and was completely oblivious to what was happening around me. I completely shut my self out. After about 10 minutes or so, someone asked me if she and her friend could come and share the compartment with me. They sat down opposite me, and started to talk, I hadn't looked up until I heard the other girl talking. Her voice was strangely familiar... as though I already knew her. I looked up at the precise moment that she had looked at me, and it turned out to be one of my best friends Tash!
"Tash! What are you doing here??? You told me you were leaving the school to go to a new boarding school in the north!" I said.
"Well this is the new school I'm going to!"
" Wow! Whod'a thunk it!!! I thought you were all muggle!"
"Oh no! I started to show signs of magic when I was about 7, my parents kept it quiet. Turns out that my mum is a pure-blood witch! Anyway, why are you here? I thought you were a muggle."
"Well, I'm a muggle-born. I showed some signs of magic the week before the letters were sent out. This is quite amazing isn't it!"
"Yeah it is! Oh, I almost forgot, Laurie, you're here with us! How stupid of me! Laurie, this is Annie, one of my best friends from school, Annie, this Laurie, I met her in Diagon Alley a month ago in Madam Malkins, and we kept in contact."
"It's nice to meet you Annie. I'm a pure-blood, but don't hold it against me, I don't care about blood purity. I hope we'll be good friends this year."
Soon after, we all started chatting, showing each other our new stuff we had bought in
Diagon Alley. It turned out that Laurie had bought a box of Filibuster fireworks and set them off in our compartment! It was great fun.
Soon the Sweet trolley came.
